Big Lots is committed to programs that enhance the quality of education, and the Lots2Give program is all about helping schools in need of financial support while creating meaningful relationships in the communities Big Lots serves.
As part of the Lots2Give program, Big Lots established an in-store donation program to help the 103 participating schools listed below. From May 2 through July 12, Big Lots customers were invited to make $1 or $5 donations at participating stores. This initiative raised more than $74,000 to help participating schools. 100% of the funds raised through this in-store donation program went directly to participating schools. These schools also had the opportunity to put their creativity to the test in an online video contest where they could win a share of $80,000 in cash prizes. From June 11 through July 12, the public voted for their favorite video right here at www.lots2give.com. More than 300,000 votes were cast to determine the 26 winners, which included one $10,000 grand prize, three $5,000 first prizes, and twenty-two $2,500 second prizes.
